Hello and good bye to Cloe

We welcomed Cloe Fontaine-Carbonneau into the lab for a 4 month stage. She did an excellent job and we are sorry to see her go.  Hope she comes back to visit us again!

Laurie has left the building - again!

Laurie popped in for an extended visit!  And spent 4 lovely weeks with the team! We are sorry to see her go again, but wait patiently for her next return!

He made his mark on Ottawa, on ALS Canada, and the Vande Velde lab.

The lab has recently obtained two grants from the ALS Canada/Brain Canada partnership!

The Arthur J. Hudson Translational Team Grant, cofunded by ALS Canada and Brain Canada will explore the role of TDP-43 in stress granules.

 

The Discovery Grant will examine different forms of misfolded SOD1.

 

We are excited to start these projects and are grateful to the funding partners and the community!

Vande Velde lab does the ALS Walk!

Members of the team headed out to Parc Maissoneuve to support the ALS Society of Quebec annual ALS walk.  40% of the funds raise support research!
